Duus, a partner and the chair­man of the Environmental Law Department, enlightens readers on how insurance can be used to manage environmental risks in real estate and commercial transactions so that the insurer assumes the risks that the parties to the transaction would prefer to avoid. Pollution legal liability (PLL) poli­cies are the policies most often used to manage transactional environmental risks and can provide coverage for cer­tain cleanup costs, third-party claims and other environmental risks. Peter H. Tanella, sworn in as the Deputy Mayor for the Township of Cedar Grove
Peter H. Tanella, a partner in the firm’s Corporate Practice Group, was sworn in as the Deputy Mayor for the Township of Cedar Grove at the Township council’s December 19th public meeting.  Peter’s term as Deputy Mayor will commence on January 1, 2012.  Peter currently serves as a Councilman and is also a former Mayor for the Township of Cedar Grove.

Craig W. Alexander, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department, handled the multi-million dollar sale of a restaurant in Hoboken, New Jersey.  The transaction involved the sale of the restaurant, its liquor license and assets, and the real estate where the restaurant operates.
